Since 2008, PreferUS Healthcare has worked to build a strong foundation and presence within China's healthcare market. Through our established partnerships in the U.S., China, and Indonesia, we have utilized our formative years to create a diverse offering that has led to an exciting new opportunity to capitalize on an emerging market in China.
2008
International Spine & Orthopedic Institute is founded. The company will operate under, "PreferUS Healthcare."
Texas Back Institute and Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic serve as founding institutional partners.
2009
Hospital 306 in Beijing becomes PreferUS' first China hospital partner.
PreferUS develops initial operating plan for bio skills cadaver and simulation lab.
2014
The International VIP Orthopedic Center opens at the First Affiliated Hospital at Soochow University (FAHSU) in Suzhou.
Oklahoma Heart Hospital (OHH) becomes newest U.S. institutional partner.
2015
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center becomes largest shareholder of PreferUS.
PreferUS becomes investor in Yinchuan-based Guolong Medical Group.
2017
PreferUS and the Fosun Group create joint venture company to explore China healthcare opportunities.
The Shanghai Gongli Hospital becomes newest China hospital partner with focus on sports medicine disciplines.
2018
The Gongli-PreferUS International Sports- Medicine Center is launched at the Shanghai Gongli Hospital.
Sinar Mas Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Indonesia, becomes newest institutional partner.
2019
Guolong's new 600-bed flagship hospital officially opens in Yinchuan. PreferUS was instrumental in the site selection, design, and commissioning stages of the hospital.
2022
PreferUS and Sinar Mas Healthcare form partnership to develop sports medicine centers throughout China.
